Allstate is the most unreasonable property & casualty insurance company in cliams practices. In my experience, Allsate's practices have resulted in more of its insureds being personally sued than any other company. Each trial success against Allsate is simply more and more satisfying.

I have read the complaints about Allstate and I also have been a victim of Allstate's non paying claim. I have been with them for over 30 years and have never had to file a claim until November 2009; when a non insured drunk driver caused a rear end collision with my vehicle which caused injuries to my family and I. I had full coverage which included underinsured drivers.I filed a claim to recoupe my losses and have only been given the run around which included very rude insurance staff and to this day I still have not been compensated for the hundred's of dollars that I have been out, which is sad since I have insurance to cover such a incident. I think all of us that have been the victims of the so called good hands people, should all get together and file a class action law suite for false advertisment and failure to pay claims.

I've heard of similar feedback from others insured through Allstate. But, unfortunately you also hear the same complaints regarding all agencies. I think we need to remember that these agencies process thousands of claims and they have some real people friendly adjusters as well as dragons. It's unfortunate that you sometimes run into these dragons. As a previous post indicated, they are trained to look for red flags that might indicate something out of line or fishy, which could ultimately compromise a claim. I am confident that for every negative experience there are positive ones that we don't readily hear about. Sorry to hear about these sometimes justifiable complaints.

Got into an accident in FL in 2007 driver at fault they had Allstate, my car totaled. My PIP expired, however Allstate wont pay for medical, plus I got prego b4 the surgery on shoulder. Lawyer fighting with Allstate as they dont want to pay. This is over 3yrs later.

Nationwide Insurance is just as bad if not worse. We need to go to the Feds on this; the heck with the States they just play the "games"! Is there an active movement to Washington D.C. about the fraud these Insurance Companies commit? I have been financially raped by an Insurance Company.

You don't say what the reason was that Alstate denied the claim. I have been a auto damage appraiser for 34 years.
Many people pay the 1st payment and get the ins card and skate off the rest of the payments. Did you?
Did you do something deliberately that damaged the bike? Maybe trying one of those stupid YouTube tricks? That's a no-no. You did it. You pay for it.
Did you lie on your application and misrepresent yourself? That's a no-no.
Never lie to us. When we find out, and we will, you're history.
Explain the circumstances that caused the damge and maybe the denial can be explained to you.

I was jerked around and lied to by my agent. More money was taken from my account than I verbally authorized. This caused several checks to bounce adding bad check fees to my expense.

I am a collision repair technician at a large bellevue body shop. The shop I work at is a direct repair facility for Allsnake Insurance. I can tell you with confidence that you are NOT in good hands with Allsnake. The shop I work at has direct repair agreements with over a dozen insurance companies and I can tell you that allstate is by far the worst and most predatory. We are forced to use inferior parts and cut corners if we want to get their business. We are graded on how many cheap parts we use, and if we use to many OEM (high quality) parts, we are downgraded and don't receive assignments from them. If it was up to me we would run them out of the shop.

Its not just Allstate! Insurance is a multibillion $ industry that owns our politicians. The insurance companies are constantly changing strategies to stay ahead of us. example, your the claimant, the other parties insurance wont pay, so you go to yours. They pay a lower percent, and you pay deductable. lets just use a $500 deductable, say 100 claims are settled this way a week, from coast to coast. thats 2.6 million annually! wake up!!

I was rearended 12/31/08 at a red light by a woman at arons 3:30 pm she hit me so hard I hit a full sized van infront of me, who inturn hit the car infront of them, and the car in front of the other car all in all 5 cars mine was totalled it was a 06 escape. low miles under warranty, i was pregnant and heading home from work. ithas been over a year now I cannot afford a new car and have back pain and a 7 month old. they are still not paying and I have a lawyer. I hope the woman and allstate rot.

I am a Public Adjuster licensed in Florida, Texas ans Colorado. I have compiled many claims from homeowners dealing with Allstate. We are looking for information to use in class action lawsuits which will be filed in all three states. We are looking for more claims to put together with ours and any other help in bringing Allstate to justice.

My wife joined the ranks of those screwed by Allstate. It wasn't a huge case, but med bills were over 19K and she still suffers... their offer 3K. I would like to help in the exposure, but everyone connected with the legal profession knows how they are... I think we need to expose lawyers that work for them, "expert" medical examiners who take their money, and judges with connections to the attorneys that work for them...yes even some judges are operating on Allstate's behalf..."in my opinion" Great site I wish I would have found it earlier.

I and my wife was riding my harley and a Allstate client blew a stop sign. I have two independent witnesses and Allstate still says it could of been my fault. So because i was riding on the hiway at the time a alstate driver its partly my fault. I say BULL#@*%! oh they did offer med bills but my wife was in hospital 4 days and we both have scaring from road rash but it must not qualify as pain i guess. Now i have counsel hopping for best but my counsel informed me that Alstate is hands down the worst to deal with.

Allstate in my experience has been very difficult to deal with for injured people.

I recently was hired as a consultant by an unhappy Allstate Customer whom was victimized by an incompetent restoration company that Allstate placed on the claim to mitigate the damages.
The Allstate Adjuster went out of his way to threaten me basically telling me that if the Insured Hired a public adjuster that he would make my life very difficult. I’m not a public Adjuster but the insured was inquiring about one. I was completely shocked with the Adjusters attitude. He was basically trying to sway my report with intimidation tactics.

Allstate has been a nightmare,I lost my home on 1-2009 ,I finaly got my house built. they faught me all the way.now my contents list that i turned in was cut by over 50% they pick items they did not want to pay. they also refused to pay my cost of living , which I had coverieg for. My life is a living nightmare and its not over yet.Please don't buy allstate.....

there is always two sides to every story....i am an allstate agent and if we paid every person who thinks they need a new roof or who thinks they are owed thousands bc they had to miss one day of work, there would be no insurance and if there were it would be so high only the rich could have it...but bc its america you can bitch and mone but at the end of the day you are still gana pay for it...congrats on all the success your having....

have just been informed my husband is being sued for accident 2 years ago. The other party's lawyer sent us notice to give to allstate. We are scared that we may have to pay out of our pockets because of the bad things we are hearing and reading about this insurance company.

This insurance company likes to rip off doctors! They also file frivolous lawsuits against successful personal injury clinics just to give them a bad reputation in the local media.

Plain and simple ALLSTATE sucks

Almost a year ago I was in an accident with an Allstate insured driver the accident was clearly the Allstate driver fault. He got the tickets and completely admitted to my insurance company and his that he made a left turn into on-coming traffic. Thank God for my insurance company (USAA), they took over and got me a new car and made sure I was ok. Now that I have been released from my Dr. Allstate won't even cover the medical costs. The really bad part about this is that my medical bill are not even $3,000. No wonder people commit insurance fraud, thats what it must take to get the legitiment bills paid. If you are in Allstates Hands you need to get out and head for the hill. This company needs to be shut down and it needs to happen yesterday.

After 10 years fighting with them over an accident my husband had, we give up. Yes - I GIVE UP! They suck, they do not care about the people they insure. this has been the worst experince i have ever had with this company i had an accident in march 09 called agent when it happened no answer called 1-800 number no answer to days later they called we could never connect with each other we kept missing one another then finally after about 2 weeks we made connection with about 3-4 different adjustors then them tell me i had NO coverage policy states 10-29-08/04-29-09 so i talked to my wife after they told me that paul was working on a reinstatement policy 2mos before this took place his sectary new about it and every time we called he was neve able to be reached he was always in a meeting everyday. now that this has happend i am withmout a car but lots debt for rental cars to get to work its a shame to find out at a time like this when every thing i falling down around everywhere they should be liable for this damage the agent didnt do his paper work to complete the reinstatement forms

I have a home that is Valued at $64,00.00 in order to get insurance from Allstae I have to take out insurance for $137,394.00 total cost $15,000.00 a year I am retirder Army total in come appox.$24,000.00 a year .Why does that state of Louisiana allow this compnay to set there own standerds?? do they put that much in the POLITICIAN's pockets??

Very interesting the comment from Yourpremiumsinmypocket. The Allstate agent was my biggest problem. I was at fault only in trusting his word. After asking specifically for buisness coverage for our in home buisness,he told us we were good to go. I DID NOT READ OR UNDERSATAND THE POLOCY!! I took his word. 5 years later we had a fire in our shop and there was no help in the rebiuld from allstate. The ammount of the loss is relitivly small (under what the building would have been insured for if there was no buisness conducted out of it. IT IS MY FAULT FOR TRUSTING MY AGENT. Allstate says they are doing a internal investigation of the agent, however the issuing agent no longer works fot Allatate. SO they investigated the office manager instead?? Allstates claim was that they agent no longer worked for them and they had NO IDEA where he was. I googled his name and in 10 minutes found where he lives,his current occupation,PH# and hobbies. HOW CAN THEY EXPECT US TO ACCEPT THIS KIND OF ACTIONS!! We are just out for trusting a company that must be untrustworthy. We have yet to have a visit or phone call from our local Allstate agent even though we called the night of the fire and two other times for help. NO HELP FORM OUR ALLSTATE AGENT, this is unaccpetable.
Sorry for the long post, this has been going on for the last 9 months and appears to be far from over, the responce time to our submissions has been way over the 8 weeks that was promised to us.

I am dealing with all state right now and so far there has been 3 fire invest.
2 differnt sets of adjusters and now its all changing again.. i have sent them 4 sets of papers and again they want more copys of all the same stuff.. it was a house fire and they have been in and out about 6 times and now they need to do it again.. its been almost 3 months sence the fire.. just looking at all i can do

I had allstate for about 15 yr’s, in 06 I had a house fire they side they would take care of us. “OK” they came in to evaluate the cast of the damage they side they would rebuild it as it was. One month later noting. “called my own contractor “. allstate sent someone to do inventory for content, day one very little done 1 week later to cold very little done later they called can’t make it until the following week. Ok almost 2 month’s gone buy noting is getting done, we had to hired a public adjuster that would be 5% of everything we get. Allstate was to slow the public adjuster had it all done in one day. 3 months later we need some money to start the job. where’s the money, we had to use our content money so the contractor can start the job. Allstate knows they only give you so much time for housing, received the money four and a half months later from allstate. The check was small and they held back 33% of the money. There’s a lot more that when on. So at the end of one year out of the house and so much bull#*# later we are in the hole for 45.000.00 THOUSIN DOLLARS no letters stating why they won’t pay .2009 still asking for the money nothing ……………… . DON,T FORGET YOUR IN GOOD HANDS MY A!?* . P.S They canceled our insurance: and lawyer’s cost money.
Allstate there in good hands with your money. There no good for anybody I could call them every name in the book but you wouldn’t know until it happens to you.

Allstate agents are some of the rudest low-life I've ever talked to. The most recent one I talked to was both an MD and an Attorney, not bad for someone with a 4th grade education. I've been told that my bodily injuries are based upon the damage to my car......what nonsense!

Are you serious people? Do people actually waste their time pouting on this site? This is just like a political campaign attack add. You can say all of these things about any insurance company in the country!! All companies have their pro's and con's but as far as being screwed over by any of these companies...its the insured's own fault. You as a citizen, have the right to pick and choose your company and agent at anytime. You have the right to cancel and switch if you are unhappy AT ANY TIME! You cant blame the insurance companies that you dont pay enough attention to the protection of your assets. Here's a couple of very simple pieces of advice...Tell the truth when asked questions from your agent regarding your insurance. Lying to your agent/producer only leaves you IMPROPERLY COVERED. No company in the world is going to pay for a claim when you have falsified information. Take the time to look over your policy and for god sakes people ASK QUESTIONS!!! Nobody likes insurance but unfortunately, we have to have it. Even the people in the insurance industry hate paying insurance. But it covers your @$$! Actually...the problem might just be that you need a better Allstate Agent...call me

When the claim is not in favor of the insured, yto understand the significance to each and every detail and the events leading to the date of loss is going to be hard to grasp when indubitably, The insured expirences more of a sentimental loss whereas the insurer has the financial loss.
I pay insurance. I place blame on myself for not taking the time to make sure, that I not only just read, but UNDERSTAND the policy that I am going to buy. It makes NO FINANCIAL SENSE not to take one hour with your agent and go over details in the policy to protect your life investment. Takes 30 years to pay for your house...and seconds to lose it. Lack of planning.

Allstate takes advantage of people who don't know how to fight back.i am recently taking them to small claims court.it's easy.you don't have to take it.i am going to start a web site to teach people how to take allstate to small claims.for big claims there is lawyers.allstate does not loose sleep over screwing you over.
